Gary T. Jones, DVM Diplomate ABVP Diplomate, American Board of Veterinary Practitioners Dr. Gary Jones was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University, studying animal husbandry. Upon graduating from veterinary school at Iowa State, he went to New York City to do an internship and residency at the Animal Medical Center. Dr. Jones spent two great years there where he met the Drs. Reinke. He came with Dr. Jerry Reinke to Madera Pet Hospital in 1970, joining Dr. Carroll Paulson and Dr. Jack Peetz, who originally started the practice in 1947. In 1981, he became a diplomate in small animal practice of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and has successfully recertified twice by passing the certification 10 year exam.
